I have another passion (well two actually) other than fishing and everything outdoors.
The first passion is about raising awareness of Ovarian Cancer. Ovarian Cancer is a deadly disease with only 43 per cent of women with ovarian cancer surviving five years after their initial diagnosis. In comparison, the overall five-year survival rate for women diagnosed with breast cancer is 89 per cent. There is currently no early detection test for ovarian cancer.
To find out more about this deadly disease go to my facebook page Teal Women.
The second passion is what my daughter, Mary, does in her spare time. She is an ambassador for Teal Wings of Hope (Ovarian Cancer charity) and World Kindness Australia. She currently holds the Australian title of Miss Queens of Our Beautiful Planet 2019. Through pageant platforms she gets to spread awareness of Ovarian Cancer and also promotes small acts of kindness to make the world a better place.
